Home Energy Raters of Illinois, LLC. (HERI) is a Certified BPI Training Affiliate and a Certified RESNET Training Provider based in Chicago, Illinois. We provide independent, third party verification services, specializing in home energy audits, green building certification, financial incentive programs, and training for building professionals. Our aim is to help home and building owners like you improve the energy efficiency of your properties with tangible benefits like improved air quality and lower utility bills.

Home Energy Raters of Illinois works to reduce the amount of fossil fuels that we consume by increasing the energy efficiency of our housing stock and providing informational resources to building professionals, real estate professionals, and homeowners. Ensuring that existing and new homes are energy efficient will cumulatively improve our environment and quality of life - building towards an energy efficient planet. We are committed to using only scientific and quantifiable testing methods, as we evaluate all components of the home which may contribute to unnecessary energy usage and which affect the health and comfort of the occupants.
