About BPI Building Analyst Certification and Envelope Certification

Home Energy raters of Illinois is a Certified BPI Training Affiliate. beginning this 2011 we will be offering BPI Certification and Envelope Certification in one training course (schedule TBA).

Every state that accepted federal stimulus funds must be within 90% compliance of the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code by 2012. This code compliance requires the same building testing procedures taught in the BPI Building Analyst Training class.

Put your existing construction, computer, detective, or people skills to use and train to pass the national core competency exam. Our training classes are geared to your success, because your success is our success. Our experienced teachers are local and available year-round as a continuing resource for you long after you pass your certification exam. None of this "fly-in, rent a hotel meeting room for a week, take your money, and then fly out" type of program for us. Our BPI Training course is designed to help you:

• Obtain your national certification
• Test existing homes and certify them for tax credit under the new HOMESTAR GOLD program
• Conduct energy audits on existing homes and prepare improvement analyses
